FAQ 12: Why is "Diploma in Computer Engineering" (DCPE) offered by School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), not School of Computing (SOC)?

DCPE has been under the School of EEE since year 2001 (was formerly known as DCNT). It is offered by School of EEE because of the "engineering" component in the course. “Computer Engineering” is about using the electrical/electronic hardware, software and networks to carry out tasks in the most efficient and effective way. It is about designing and implementation of electrical/electronic systems controlled by computers. School of EEE is offering these modules to cover all these areas.
